They might have cost him that much back in the day but they're not worth anything near that now.. I've got Brownfields on my car and they cost me $1200 seven years ago... Had to freshen them but they were pretty cheap at that price. Brownfields haven't been made for over twenty years, AFR bought them out so there's been lots of improvements over the years. They are good heads and can make a lot of power but with the dollar how it is at the moment you'd be better off getting some newer heads from the states. Unless you can get them cheap... My next engine will probably wear either 18 degree's or sb2.2's. BIG power with those on it...

thanks mr prem.wasnt sure what the heads were exactley there on a 350 that was built for a early model corvette the motor was built in 2004 & he tells me he has recipts for $44oo he paid for the heads then.the engines only done about 300-400 klms as the car was being rebuilt & now its getting a 504 motown motor.the guy spent plenty on it,forged pistons ,roller rockers msd ignition etc it also has an original offset twin carby manifold on it with twin edeldrock carbys(i think they wanted it to be period correct).i actually got the engine builders name & spoke to him he tells me stick a decent cam in it to wake it up.seems to be a good buy for the money he wants

All ports is on the money there! I looked a two sets of Brownfield heads before I settled on my current set and both BF sets were old, had pulled the head bolt seats in and every bolt hole was helicoiled.
