Smile Camaro Drivers side conversions...How much $?

Gday all. Im just doing some prices up and before I ring around I thought I would ask you guys who have done it how much Drivers side conversions to right side cost for early 70s Camaro. Also looking at Late 60s maybe, so if theirs a price difference let me know.
I understand that if you pull out engine, interior, wiring its a lot cheaper.
So which ever way youve done its all good.
Im also wondering how much harder it is to do on a vehicle already restored. Much damage? Im guessing the engine bay will need respraying.
So...costs?

Easy mate, DON'T convert it. If it is more than 30years old it can be fully registered LHD. Otherwise, lots. Around 10k for a decent conversion, if you can find someone who will do it. IMHO if you can leave it LHD, do it. It means that you can get parts etc, without hassles.

Yeah, it'll also reduce the value of the car if you convert it. So you spend well over $10k, and lose money on top of that, just not worth the hassle.

Well a very good rhd conversion for a 60's or 70's camaro will cost 15 grand easy, If you know the car EAZY10Z 75 camaro that has one of the best conversion i have seen,If you plan to drive it LHD is crap, always scared to over take unless you have a passenger, and find it hard to stay in the middle of the road because of cars comming the other way, If you plan to keep it in Australia it will be worth more. i say RHD conversion are a must if they are to be driven on the roads... I know i would rather drive a rhd car then lhd.. and i bet would it change your minds if you drive a LHD car in Australia.. If you plan to buy an american car buy it RHD because the waiting time is huge and will also save you the head ache of gettin it converted.

Honestly, other than the overtaking thing, you get used to LHD very quickly, in lots of other countrys you can just buy LHD cars even though most are RHD. Also, I seriously doubt that we are talking about a daily driver here, so it's not really a big issue. My car is RHD, and is a pretty nice conversion, but there are always issues with conversions that it would be nice to avoid. My car is a daily however, so for a daily RHD is better. As I said though, no-one is using a 1st gen Camaro as a daily driver anymore, so the point is moot.

DON"T CONVERT IT!

It will be worth less. Plus it will destroy the cars handeling abilities.
Anyone compared a RHD mustang to a LHD mustang?

Don't do it!

Thats right. My 68 Camaro drive like crap and it was converted to RHD.
It had the whole front end rebuilt and several wheel allignments to get
it half ok. My mates 68 Camaro was LHD and it drove perfect, Only trouble he had was the over taking.
Thats why I sold it and got an aussie muscle car.

Depending on driveability and where Im currently located as to wether its daily driver status....plus the price of fuel! At times I can see daily driver, others not.
Im steering more towards the early 70s Camaro now.
I didnt think handling and driveability would be worse after a steering side change...Jeez there must be some bad jobs done out their.
Looks like I may have to suck it and see.
