cheers for the kind words st8tsman 2bt,
very simple, but tricky at the same time....
i made the whole thing with chipboard, it diddnt cost much at all the floating floor was the easy part...
if you held the floor on the side it was a U-shape, i made a box without a floor and bolted brackets to the inside of the box, they where secured with right angled steel and i used tek-screws from the underside of the car, a little tricky to mark out but it is very secure and removable if need be. it took quite a few weekends and a lot of careful measureing but i think it was worth it. for templates i used rijid cardboard to get the shape of the boot's side pannels, then just traced them out onto the chipboard and went away with the jigsaw, made it all fit nicely then took a plane to the edjes to allow for the carpeting, then its done. if ya want more info or similar projects theres plenty of inspiriation on mp3car.com those guys are pretty helpful, but are not fond of "spoonfeeding noobies" so have a search around im sure there would be a few commies amongst the installs there
to give ya in idea of cost i spend about $200ish including the carpting, then another 600ish on the sound system (mates rates and hand-me-downs) all labour done by me, my old man and upholstery done by my mother (she makes pelmets and stuff so it was a breeze for her) wasnt too bad of a car for someone in my financial position if your into that kind of thing i guess, im just glad i dropped the ricer thing and got myself an 8
