wouldnt an infinite baffle ( free air ) sub be required to mount on the parcel shelf ........ wouldnt imagine there would be much room after that gas tank was put there .

if space is really at a premium and your not after earth shattering competition type of sound system / bass.
then maybe try a good quality set of 6 x 9's on the rear shelf a good set of 6in splits in the front door's and some bass engines mounted to the under side of the front seats.
power it all with a reasonable quality amp/'s and you will be surprised as to the sound you will get.

had a mate who had a similar setup in a vl and when it was cranking i coulda sworn it had a 10in sub in the boot i was quite amazed
