Default 4 speed shifter slop

Any one have any tips on ajusting the shifter and linkages / arms on a 4 speed.

Mine gets stuck in reverse, 1st is good, second is in the back seat, third and fourth are too long also.

Poxy setup.

just get underneath and adjust the linkages till they dont have as much distance to travel otherwise look at where your shifter sits it may well be that it is too far forward or if you have a bent shifter arm it may be that it is on too much of an angle i snapped the one i had on my old 4 speed going from 2nd too 3rd during a burnout comp and went to a str8 shifter arm rod whatever ya wanna call it and 1st and 3rd were right under the dash till i played with the linkages and then put a couple of shims under the front of the shifter and then had no problems

It sounds like you have the incorrect shifter arms for your shifter. There are three types. basically you will need to hunt for the smaller ones. This will reduce the shifter through and thus solve your issue.

Hey mate theres this place called renagate and they make a gate shifter. thats where u get rid of the H pattern and instead all u need to do is click it up and down to up and down the gears.

The renegade Shifter are a little bit cluncky on the aussie boxes. Personallyt you would be better to use a good m20 shifter..

Cheers
