Default recalibrating speedo

hey guys,got a HD Prem with torana 13" chromies on it with 50 series T/A radials.the speedo is about6-7miles out.does anyone know if this can be recalibrated at home or would i have to take it to somebody?i live in windsor NSW does anyone know a place locally i could get it done?thanks

you'll have to re calibrate it by the little plastic gear in the gearbox. I think.

beats me, does the speedo cable go into your gear box? On the traumatics and the like it's right back where the tail shaft joins the gearbox but a for an m20 I have no idea

take it to a specielists... i live in bendigo and there is a guy called " bendigo speedometa" he can make a speedo cable to suit anything... and gearbox to any dash etc etc..... they recalibrate anything to suit. surely there would be someone more local who does it but thats who i use

and depending on cost you can get a correction unit i think from memory they go in 10% intervals right upto 30% i just got an engineer to put marks on the speedo, but my lux is pretty rough inside

yea the speedo cable goes into the gearbox..right at the back..ive worked out roughly what 60 and 80k's is but anything after that is a guess!
