Gearbox - Aussie V8 | Holden - Ford

i have a vr auto the box was a had trouble driving like as if it had no fluid in it but there was , just revs , i changed the box the a VN which i know is in good condition , now it has bad fuel economy and want drive just revs , what is the problem , the torque converter and fluid was all replace when i changed the box

are you sure its got nothing to do with the diff?
its a pickle of a situation
