Default Better Fuel Economy

What are ways that you can improve Fuel Economy on any v6, ive heard changing the O2 sensor (depending how old the car is) can make a big difference, what else is there, K&N filter maybe. Just start listing lots of stuff that can be done =)

Go get yourself a cold air intake from the vs super6, k&n panel filter, give it a service too sometimes that can help (plugs, leads, oil & filter, fuel filter), get your injectors cleaned. Thats about all I can think of off the top of my head, definetly get the CIA and K&N first, big difference!

get the ecu remapped or a piggy back ecu so you can over ride a few things. Expensive option tho. Adjust the throttle stopper so the pedal can't hit the floor

I think the way you drive your car has alot to do with fuel economy. You can do all the things in the world to improve it mechanically, but if your a leadfoot all the time its gunna chew fuel regardless

Oxygen sensor will make a big difference if the car has done over 100,000 k's on the old sensor. K&N filter & CAI will help. NGK Iridium plugs may help. Use a good oil, say 15w40, make sure your tyre pressure is good.
One other thing that I have found useful for efficiency is a cooler thermostat. Standard is 195 degree, but I am using 180's in both my V6 Commodores.

Main thing is, let it build up speed gradually - do not thrash the pedal when accelerating, the V6's are at their least efficient when accelerating harshly.
