Default automatic choke

Hey all,

The automatic choke (weber) on my XE is doin some strange sh!t works fine on all these cold mornings, but once it warms up it doesnt shut off. so when i turn it off to get fuel from the servo, it wont start cos its not letting enough air in. Lucky i happened to have a VB bottletop in my car, which i bent in half then slipped over the choke butterfly to hold it open so i can start it. I then pull the bottletop off and the choke stays open.

Any ideas wat it could be? and how does the choke work/sense if it needs to be on?

Cheers Daniel

Default

all i can remember about these is that they're a wax pellet type set up.

they work well when they're working, but an can be a right bugger when they're not.
probably not much help at all. when mine started acting up, i replaced the carby
