Default V6 Buick supercharged ?

DID the VR s packs ever come out with a supercharge on them < if so is the only difference between them and a stock engine is the supercharge? what kind of psi is beening forced into them ? how much would a second supercharge cost?

No the factory charger only came on the ecotecs, from memory they run something like 3 psi. Pretty sure they strengthened some of the internals on the charged motors too. Hope this helps mate

Short answer is no mate. The supercharged V6 was first available on VS Calais and Statesman/Caprice.

I was of the impression that they were pretty much standard but I could very well be wrong. There is plenty of info to be found on the net if you care to google it.

IS it possible to change ecotec heads onto the buick block ?
tell us what is needed for a pretty full on nos system , what i would have to improve to cope with the stress etc >

i wouldnt recommend nos... i had it on my vn v6... made mine gutless now... i think the vs supercharged 6's ran a higher boost than 3psi... 6psi actually. they are heaps different than the standard ecotec. a much stronger engine too

And its not possible to swap eco heads onto a buick..........different block and all. And I also thought the super6's ran 6 psi too.

yeah 6psi. i think hypo vr was thinking of the crs blower u can put on the pre and eco v6's. not the factory supercharged6.

I was hoping that the twin turbo in the torana was a sign of things to come. They might release it in the VE range.....who knows.

i read in st com magazine that holden has no intention to bring out a turbo 6 as there is not enough public interest..... but meh. over holden and my car

if your thinking about putting nitrous on your engine talk to people that already run it to guide you. as for making an engine feel gutless just imagine if you put say 75 horsepower in it then take it off again. your are effectively loosing seventy five hosrepower thats why it feels like you have lost power.

nah they need to make it less like an astra and more like the LX with more updated bodylines like the one that dude did in Street Machine Expression Session last year.
Anyone know of the one im talkin bout
