Angry clutch is ****ed

Hi all,

well my poor vy ute has seen more dirt and gravel then it ever will again.
took her off road camping owithin the past week andshe goes nice. 4th gear fishtails and all that jaz.

Anyway, when i was on my mates driveway i was moving the car for him. being drunk and me he told me to do a burnout on his driveway. So i did.

then came that nice smell im sure most of us have all smelt.
the next morning i tried taking him to work and i heard a nasty crunch and a smell, and then major slipping.

it then died in the ass and i seen yet another car of mine on the back of a tow truck. first the missess leaves me now this ! this year sucks.

Anyone have an idea how much a new clutch cost to get so i dont get ripped off. it might get under warranty but i think they just gotta look at the back tyres and do little bit of math.

All help greatful,

Cheers,
Azza

it might be cheaper to replace the rear tyres and send it in for warranty

I'd forget about telling them your dad was driving coz i doubt they'd believe it... just tell them the story about the trailer and you should be right...

Sucks about your missus leaving you... *ponders the possibility of a link between the burnt clutch and missus leaving...* hehehe

Sorry to hear about the dramas dude

have a look what the maximum towing capacity is.
look at your towbar and the requirements in the owner's manual for towing that load.

Its not an uncommon problem with the standard clutches giving up on the vy's.

A few of my mates had manual utes when I was working at holdens as we got them quite cheap. At least 3 i know of had had clutch problems.

Cheers
