Default Vn Engine Mods

Heya <
I Have Just Got Myself A Series 2 Vn Motor And 5 Speed To Put Into My Vk And I Was Going To Fully Rebuild The Motor If You Could Give Me Ideas Of What To Do , I Have About $5000 To Spend On The Engine , I Dont Want To Supercharge It Though , Any Thoughts Would Be Great Thanks

do heads, cam, possibly valves, balance it, look at whats available for intake manifolds or a shot of nitrous.

Everything Geoff said. If you've got the money you could even go a Group A twin throttle body... they're pretty expensive though.

I Was Thinking Of 4.3l Stroker Crank
Could U Help With Any Ideas For Forged Pistons And Rods And What Would Be Best And The Different Types, Anything Info Of These Would Be Helpful

if your after just abit more power, then have a look at a crs supercharger, they are relatively cheap and give a nice increase in power, i believe that they are just 3-4 psi.

they put alot of strain on the bottom end though. i used to have one on my vr. not long after i sold the car the motor threw a rod out of the block. depends how you drive it though. the guy i sold it to treated the car like shit and thrashed it everywhere.

You wont get the stroker done for 5k put it that way. With 5k I would be giving the engine a freshen up with rings and tidy up the valves and new bearings. Then just basically a cam and head job, diff gears and clutch. 5k won't go that far.

5k wont get u **** all on a V6, if ur lucky u might pull a mid 14 with that much money.

If i was you id save a little bit more for a v8, or turbo your v6.

you are joking

my el stocko family slug pulls a 15.5 with a K&N and cat back system.

it's got 225k without a rebuild. change your oil and filter every 5k and you're sweet.

if i was to try my slug out on a highway legally, i assume it would pull 214k in third. stupid 4L60E

the old sluggo six can respond to all the mods that an eight will
