Default basic vn v6 mod ideas?

i decided to start this because i didnt want to jack the crs supercharger thread.
i just want to know some small cheap mods for a little more power.
i was thinking a supercharger, but im gonna sell it in a couple of years so no point blowing heaps of money..

cold air intake
3.9 LSD
shift kitted auto.
extractors
2 1/2" exhaust

and then i get stuck for ideas..

also, between the throttle body and the manifold i got told the black plastic thing can be taken out to allow for more air to flow? is that close to the truth?
i dont want to crack the engine open and start operating.
so any ideas for a little more power are welcome

what is the stock power of a vn v6? and how much power could i expect at the wheels with that combination up there ^?
im gonna get my car dynoed within a few weeks.

stage 3 crow cam, 28% overall power increase..........

roller rockers, pistons maybe ?

get the heads shaved, dont think it would cost that much.

how cheap are u calling cheap ? under the $500 mark ? under $1000 ?

vn is 127kw at the flywheel stock, with stage 3 crow cam its would be like 160, 170 at the engine.

this is what im running....... prices are estimates.....

stage 3 crow cam ($800 ??)
crow springs
roller rockers
extractors ($400)
2.5" exhaust system ($300)
heads shaved 50thou, heavily ported & polished heads ($750)
cylinders bored 40thou
stainless steel valves
forged rods ($250 a rod ??)
ACL bearings
ARP stud kit
rebalanced & polished crank
3.55 diff with LSD ($700 reco)
POD filter ($100)
larger throttle body

putting out 213hp at the wheels with straight unleaded.

if its aseries 2 vn it should have a restrictor where the intake pipe connects to the intake manifold

i dont really wanna go above $2000... (not including exhaust or extractors.)
just because its still a 6 and i dont want to waste to much money because ill never make the money back.

ok so thinking..
diff ratio, lsd
shift kit the auto
cold air intake
pod filter (you know, the air filters, is that the name of them?)
and a chip? like this one on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....556259100&rd=1

also remove the plastic thing between the throttle body and manifold..

that should give me a bit of kick yeah?

Had all these mods minus the LSD, higher diff ratio , and the CAI instead of a pod filter in my old VN . Alot of improvement for little money!! , from there it just gets all too expensive to really warrent charging / stroking the V6

alloytec V6 would be fun to work with

what years were vn series 1 and 2? i need to know what mine is... it was made in june 1990.
"if its aseries 2 vn it should have a restrictor where the intake pipe connects to the intake manifold" (what kransky said up there ^)

its series 2.

series 2 were 1990 and 1991.

series 1= top radiator hose goes to the back of the engine.
coolant reservoir bottle has a screw on cap

series 2= top radiator hose goes to the front of the engine.
coolant reservoir bottle has a push on cap

from what i have heard, after you get rid of the plastic restrictor you have to rev the car at about 3000 rpm for about 8 seconds to let the computer figure out whats going on with the extra air flow
