Usually what they use is shorter springs, but you have to get harder shock absorbers so that the wheels don't touch the arch. Different bushes and bump stops are needed as well. Lower profile tyres help lowering too.

Better off buying a hat and glasses so no-one see's you driving.

Seriously. Keep it as a driver and buy something to learn on that has potential.

In all seriousness the only safe way is the legal way, buy some proper lowered springs and a set of sports rider (pedders) or simular shocks which have a shorter arm for lowered hight, you will have a smoother and safer ride.
Standard shocks bottom out of lowered too much, heating / cutting springs alters their capacity to support the car and you end up with bump steer bottoming out, coil bind etc, also they no longer sit in the spring saddles correctly if cut and can 'flick' out of place. accident waiting to happen, illegal for a damn good reason. also insurance companys will tell you to 'go forth and mutiply' if involved in an accident. if you know what I mean.

if you dont know how to take the springs out take it to a wheel/suspension shop and get them to reset the springs an inch or 2
