Default Blue Motor Rebuild 4 Hq Tonner

hi guys ive decided on ditching my red 202 in my tonner for a blue motor which i am trying to source atm , im hoping to get the engine rebuilt using the acl race series rebuild kit, along with the starfire rods, the blue crank, with a 350 holley and manifold-filter to suit, but im stuck on what sort of cam would suit my set up i am hopefully going to run.. would i need to uprgrade the standerd blue head to a yella terra item. or get some headwork done on the original. or could i just keep the head standerd, i also intend to ditch the existing timing gear for new items and add some 10mm top gun leads, and would my (HI-Tek) headers on my red engine bolt onto the blue motor? any suggestions or tips on cam or other itmes would be much appreciated, cheers guys. and also go holden!!!!!!!!!

the blue head is a 12 port and and imo is a decent head if you are just rebuilding for good economy and performance i would recommend a 25/65 cam real nice note bit of a loop at idle good performance.the only thing i think was wrong with the blue head is they had something which used to spin the valve to keep the seat good but used to chop into the head.i used this set up in my fist cxar a hx pano my mate had a lc four door with a 30/70 cam red motor with flat tops and he could keep up but couldnt beat me.

starfire rods are the same as the blue.
your red headers will not fit a blue.
what sort of performance, you are looking for out of it. will determine what you will have to do to it.
