Kick back on hard acceleration - Auto

Hey! Need some help!

I was driving Trent's car yesterday ('96 VS V6 auto), and it's not well.

I noticed when you put your foot down to give it hard acceleration, it kind of "kicks back" ... weird way of explaining it, I know, but thats the best way I can describe it.

It's like.. you drop the pedal, it revs it guts out - anywhere up to 4thou rpm, seems to lag a little, kicks back at you, and then takes off... and it does it even at lower speeds...

I tried it accelerating hard from 40km p/h yesterday and it even did it then too!

Pweese help wtf

I dont know about the 4L60E gearbox that was used in the VS but in earlier modles there was a kick back cable located next to the accelerator cable that you could adjust. But because the VS has electronic torque locking it may be different. I believe that the ecu senses the time to change gears. Maybe something to do with that. Just a few ideas , might be helpful.

could just need a service, does it ever get serviced?
might just need to tighten the bands and change the fluid

but not sure, but i'd try that shit first as its the least expensive stuff

it probably has a kickback on the gears, like in our vette if ur in second(auto) and u thump the accelerator it kicks back to first and takes off, all that does is give more tourque so its not necciseraly a bad thing unless its not working properly which it does sound like

unless it just hesitates, and then it might just need a service (box and engine)
