Default vr v6 problem

gday guys just wondering if any1 had any suggestions... my vr v6 shut down on me while i was driving it, my mate suggested crank angle sensor and when i ran diagnostic it came up with code 46 47 and 49 (all relating to crank angle sensor) problem is now even after tipping cold water on it i still cant get the car started! any help would be much appreciated

I think I'd be replacing the crank angle sensor.

sounds like it's given up the ghost completely

I would say that your mate is right.
It sounds like a total shut down of the crank angle sensor rather than a intermitant
crank angle sensor problem (which can be checked by cooling it with water)

just an update, booked it in for the carnk angle sensor and the dfi unit went at the same time so thats why the cold water wasnt working . both replaced with new and the car is fine cheers guys
