V6 engine swap; - Aussie V8 | Holden - Ford

Gidday,
I'm thinking about putting a VP engine into a VN series 2 commo'.
Are they a straight swap, or do i need to change the ECU over as well ?
Tranny will come with the engine.
I'm old school, and any help/advice on these new fangled donks is appreciated.

I can't think of any problems with that swap. As far aa I know, they were the same motor and trans.
I believe you will have to swap the ecu if you are going manual to auto.

Thanks Doc, thats exactly what i wanted to hear.
And, just in case some of you are thinking WHY BOTHER ?, the VP has 100K less KM than the VN, but the body is shagged.
