sure is, i hate the shit, i could possibly imagine using the shit if it was like 30c a litre, but its not, its the same price as reguler fuel, i get less k's per tank on it, and the car pings and is as sluggish as hell

i think the fuel is more refined than it used to be, wen the e10 first come out it was a disaster, so many cars breaking down apparently due to the fuel, so ether no one runs it anymore, or they have done somehting to clean it up

Mate, if your gonna run this sh$t, you will need a quadrulple twin barrell carb' chromed 10 vane fuel pump, with 1" lines to the Gonkulator and double wishboned underhangers.
If you can fit all this single handedly, you will receive an Australian of the year medal.

the e10 fuel is highly corrosive. not recommended for any vehicle that has any metal componants in the fuel system. was told that buy a bp rep. all bp fuels are meant to have ethanol in them now.

What, including the 95 and 98 octane fuels?

yes as far as im aware all includes 95 and 98. but i don't think it's in the gas though.... i remember reading it at one of there service stations. it was a while ago now, haven't been there since i read that. same with the wacky do shell fuel.
from memory bp (may have been someone else) were introducing e10 long before they advertised it. so they wouldn't get burnt again like they did with the diesel.

I used to be completely against it for reducing the longevity of parts it came in contact with. It also has a higher oxygen density than a normal petrol mix - so if the car is tuned for 98RON fuel and ethanol is used, it will lean the a/f ratio out which isn't a good thing on an aggressive tune.

However my mind is changing on the 100RON Shell ethanol blend. After talking about it with a mate who tunes, he showed me the amount of timing that could be added to the tune when using the ethanol fuel - it was a decent change and could show some good improvements.

Yeah the fuel system will need to be maintained more, parts being replaced a fraction sooner, but hey if it making an improvement why not. People will complain about spending that extra $100, but will ahve no hesitation frying a set of 19s putting on a smoke show.

When we get the time we will be getting some good data from real world (quarter and dyno) from BP98RON fuel and the Shell 100RON ethanol blend (with tunes to suit). Obviously it will have to be on different days/nights as the tank will need to be drained, but with enough time slips/dyno pulls, as well as the tune logs, should be able to show whether it is worth the extra effort/money going to ethanol.
