I don't really think 'beefy' is something achievable with a V6 Commodore.
I'm guessing you want to lessen the effect of the mufflers.

the lukey glass pack mufflers give a "beefy" or as they call it, "throaty" noise

I agree. I'm yet to hear one that sounds decent.

a full twin system with no merge would be the only way, I reckon.

Also those guys who cut holes in the mufflers of V6 commo's give the performance exhausts a bad name.

Be aware that people have different tastes of sound.

Just go a nice simple twin system, and like what Jay said, they're all the same shit, its all round mild steel or stainless.
don't worry about hi flow cats, you're not going to get 50 kw out of them.
And!

Don't worry about "tuned" Extractors.
you'll get a good noice with twin 2 1/2" anything bigger and its a drone zone.

well thats a different story. big-cube sixes always sound like V8s with the mufflers chopped off.
