Now that the heat wave has finished in Adelaide, we've been dropped straight into the sh!**er speaking of weather. 1 week ago, scorching 43 C heat, now it's bucketing down rain occasionally.

what i wanna know is have u fixed it yet lol...
the wishbone engine support can be taken off without having to support the engine cause its not a mount its a 'stay' 2x 14mm bolts on the motor and 1x 14mm on the body
then 4x 10mm bolts on the timing cover (top half) to see if its snapped.....

streetfire68: the new hilux was developed about a year ago before i even got the job, so i didnt have any say in it at all
it has a 1gr-fe motor (4 litre) NON-vvt-i
bout 224kw@ 4 wheels..... can switch inbetween 4wd and 2wd, only comes in auto
but im pretty sure its actually affordable and should sell well unlike our aurion.....
aurion only sold 5/p month so far in WA........ wich is a huge loss since they are such a brilliant piece of machinery
i must admit tho, if ur a huge car company bringing out a new performance range of cars you would make it alot better than just a previous car (aurion) with a supercharger, new injectors and ecu, and some flashy badges and "R" instead of normal cross hatching grill..... if toyota wanted to make australians buy thier performance product all they need to do is look at HSV and FPV and copy?
if toyota even lost $50 000 per car it would of bin much better and much more exposure
but maybe they thought they would end up like mitsubishi with their 380 lol.....
at the end of the day toyota is still in it for the money

Update: timing belt is ****ed, frayed and snapped. Not fixed yet but im in the process of doing it, i dont get much spare time and daylight between work and waiting for it to stop raining! Ive got no shed or carport u see, hence the reason the torrys still not finished. So any donations to the "Buy Toryman A Shed So He Can Finish His Car Foundation" would be greatly appreciated, and cheers for the info fellas.

Ok, time for another update.

STILL not finished, im frustrated and more than slightly pissed off.
Up to reassembly process now, but as i was about to bolt the harmonic balancer back on, i discovered that the harmonic balancer puller had crushed the thread inside the end of the crank that the harmonic balancer retainer bolt screws into. There is still some thread behind it and ive drilled out most of the excess squashed material in front of it. Just gotta clean it up now and hope theres enough thread left undamaged behind it. Anyone got any suggestions about the best way of doing that? I really dont wanna have to drill it all out and retap it.
