Default VY V6 fuel filter

Hey
Can some please explain to me how to remove the plugs on each end of the VY V6 fuel filter.

I thought i better ask cause i can see myself breaking them

Whatever you do, don't force them or you'll have to buy the complete fuel line. The short one to the fuel tank (30cm) is about $17. The other end runs right up to the front. I'd hate to pay for that.
There is a special tool available from Repco. Made of plastic and shaped like a C. You slide it onto the connection and it squeezes everything the right way so you can remove the filter. I believe it's a multi fit for V6 as well as V8. I'm led to believe it's about $8.

Dont forget to relieve the fuel pressure first. Pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car. It will only run for a very short time.

i wouldnt worry about the fuel pressure only loose about 500 ml of petrol and isnt dangerous, the plugs with the green clips, press the green clips in with ur fingers and push the plug further onto the filter, then pull strait back, easy peasy, sometimes they can be a bit full of sand or something, if u dont get it the first time, try again


having worked for holden and done thousands of these... thats my best method, cheaper and easyer than using them fuel line tools
