Default Hunting VL?

Heya everyone my mates VL (RB30) is hunting at idle. Hunting being going up and down in the revs. I am puzzled as to what would cause this and if anyone has any suggestions that would be excellent.

Cheers peeps

Have you checked, or cleaned you IAC , i think thats the right name for it,.. the little solinoid thing in you throttle body, they carbon up sometimes. it may help.

i agree with skidjocks... air flow meter. my 4.1 falcon had same problem, not an RB motor i know but still a good guesstimation
