Default Decent cheaper power boost options (VR)

hi im just curious to what you guys would suggest for upgrading some power to a VR. The car atm is stock and is in the possesion of my grandmother but when i get my hands on it (soon) i intend to do some little things to the engine to give it some boost. If you havnt noticed im not too good with cars though i intend to learn as im only young... 17 hehe. Tips will be aprieciated i got a pretty sweet part time job loadin trucks scoring roughly 28 bucks an hour with some new place opening up soon ill work there 5 days a week after school and take home 400-600 per week so i will have some money to play with.'chewi'
