It could be the ignition module or a bad connection/broken/shorted wire.

If you have a spare module try it; Be WARNED there have been instances where this has killed the next module.

There are series of tests described in HOLDEN SIP which need to be done.

Fault find before you get stuck into replacements etc.

Are there any DTCs (Defect Trouble Code - These can be read with the check engine light)?
