Forgot to mention: When you're shopping for a Mark IV make sure you get the short-deck passenger car block with a minimum of large oval-port heads. Watch out for the peanut-port heads as some short-deck blocks had them on. An easy way to identify a short-deck passenger car block when you're shopping is to look at the water pump top mounting bolts. The holes on the passenger block are no more than 3/16ths of a inch below the deck surface, whereas the tall-deck blocks have an additional .4".
