As you said, the 366T is a Tall Deck block.
-It won't fit as happily into your HQ as the heads will be higher and wider bringing them closer to the power booster and everything
-Off the shelf headers won't fit either because of the extra width and will probably hit on the frame rails.
-Block won't take mechanical fuel pump.
-It is 4-bolt main forged steel crank, but is one piece rear main meaning you're stuck with the flexplate that's on it (unless you adapt a Mark IV). No-one makes a flexplate/flywheel for one-piece rear main that is internally balanced to my knowledge.
-Pretty sure it has the peanut-port (small-port) heads with non-adjustable valve-train that are also non-interchangeable with the Mark-IV head.
-Won't take aftermarket manifold (picture appears to be 2bbl) without spacers to adapt to the tall-deck spacing.
-Same 3.76" stroke as 396-427 and same length rod, with the deck height difference being made up by a taller, 4-ring piston which is obviously heavier bringing the RPM capabilities down. Aftermarket pistons are limited (I can't even find a listing for them).
-It has very thick cylinder walls and can be bored .125", but as I said the pistons are impossible to get and would be super-heavy anyways. Doesn't matter as to the boring anyway, 'cause it starts at 366 anyway and would never make it to 454, which you can buy real easy and cheap.
Tall Deck blocks are mostly used in speedboats where there aren't any clearance problems and pistons are customized (I think) to suit supercharging and the like.
This engine appears to be a real orphan - in other words, make it all easy on yourself and stick with Mark IV 396-454 as parts/interchangeability and support are much easier, cheaper and more plentiful. Plus it'll go better too!
