The offset crank's stroke is 3.1875" If you offset it more and cannibalise the crank using 40 under SJ chev brgs you'll get 3.255 make. You loose a little in getting the journal in the right place and round. So 4.03 bore and 3.1875 stroke makes a Holden 325.26 cubes, Narrowing bearings and rods to suit widening the crank journals knocking the tails of the skirts on the chev pistons is a lot of effort for 12.75 cubes. Compared to 30 over Holden at 312.51cubes. And if you want to decrease the mechanical energy ina Holden, by all means put a 6.125 rod in it. I'll build one with a 400 length rod and flog you up hill and down dale.
