I know people make 330 strokers with say 3.25" stroke and 6" rods - can you use a 6.125" rod in a Holden using a different stroke?

Can you change the rod journal size on a Holden crank to 2" or 2.1"?

Also, for such strokers, are SBC pistons for a 327 normally used? How can I calculate whether a piston will suit a particular combo? Surely it's not just trial and error (or knowing what has worked before)?
