Eddys due to the fact that the T/P has a runner .150" smaller than the port side to side and shorter top to bottom by .210". So what happens when f/a is travelling at over 300fps with a diameter of 1.6" and then falls into an area that's over 1.8" in diameter. I'll leave all that up to you guys to decide. Remember on a gear change the engine needs to recover the momentum that is lost almost instantaniously, now throw into that the turbs created from the f/a falling sharply into a larger open area! Can someone step up to the plate here? Engine recovery is very important to the acceleration of the engine through all gear changes.
