Sounds like you still haven't bled all the air out. Bleeding brakes can be a prick of a job at the best of times, let alone when the calipers are dry/new. You'll probably go through a lot of fluid, and the only way to get it done properly is with two people and good technique. It can be quite frustrating but keep at it.
