my thoughts exactally. i just did the pump on my VP SS as the original one died in the ass. i went for a Walbro 255L/ph intank pump. i was looking at a Bosch 044 with a standard VL intank low pressure pump to feed it, but i needed it done ASAP so i got the Walbro instead.

im still using the standard regulator on mine and it is fine. no more pinging now
