Would really depend on what appeals to you and what suits your riding style 2 strokes are quite snappy with their power delivery though ktm uses heavier flywheels on the enduro series to stop them being mx agressive.
The four strokes are not quite as nimble in the bush but they are super smooth and user friendly if your coming off a wr250f and have enjoyed it I would be suggesting the 450f would be the go as they have heaps of grunt but it just rolls on rather than coming out of no where like a 2 stroke can sometimes feel like.
Having said that the 300 is widely regarded as one of the most fun and capable trail riding bikes on the market with a broad spread of power and a good dose of torque whilst still having the 2stroke buzz....
