Mazte, Just about finishing putting a 383 Stroker Kit into my VS, it has a factory VT Roller Block so i am fitting a small hyd roller cam around the 222@50, im keeping the std VS heads and running 9:1 Comp, hoping with this very simple combo to make around the 250kw/335hp at the flywheel, later down the track if i keep the car i will fit a decent intake manifold and mayby a bigger cam to make some extra power.
IRS will be find as long as you dont fit really sticky tyres or flog the arse out of it.
Traction - Will depend on how you drive and what tyres and suspension you have.
COME, Crankshaft Rebuilders, Eagle and SCAT all do kits for 383's
T5 will just cope, but you will have to respect it, but forget the t5 with any boost or a more than very mild 383. The t56 would be perfect.
