Default V8 buggy

Havn't been around much on here as I've been spending alot of time working on my beach buggy but I'm thinking about building a v8 one as I have a 308 and th400 in the shed and an old sprint car frame (chrome moly) which I will widen.

now the thing is, should I have it front engine or go ahead and keep it a one seater and put the 308 next to me in the passenger position and run an offset center diff out of a 4x4 to keep the weight in the centre ? I've seen some footage of one built like that and it looks awesome and handles great.

any ideas ?

added some pics of the chrome moly chassis I have as a base (will need widening in the cabin area)
