my mate has a raptor on a VS V6 and f*** me it goes hard, stock engine with extractors and the raptor and pulled 260rwhp and has done a mid 13 qtr with a leaking exhaust and a manual gearbox. roots blower will give more of an instant torque hit than a centrifugal blower, but they wont make as much boost and are nowhere near as efficient.
Screw blowers are around the same efficiency as a centrifugal blower but create more heat. Procharger are the leaders in centrifugal blowers and have powered 31 champions in US drag racing in the last 5 years - so comments that the traditional blown cars are already gone is rubbish. A roots or screw blower powered car will leave the line quicker but the centrifugal blower will have it in top end, just like a turbo powered car.
$3700 is cheap for a blower and kit!!! dont forget you are paying for the unit itself which will be most of that cost and then also the brackets which is labour and material costs. I have been quoted $5150 for a Procharger P1SC kit for a chev - modified to suit my engine. And try ringing other places and getting a cheaper price than $3700
