I am going to be doing this mod soon.
One of my mates has a tank building business and he is folding up a new section now.
I have asked him to put in a cross or X crease across the middle of the flat section of steel for strength.
Then across the lower section of the panel I am going to weld a piece of 10mm box tube for one side of the car to the other for added strength and to get a decent weld down.

When I pick up the panel I will post a pic here for you.

Keep your eyes on my build up if you can wait a bit.
